The ground floor of the Town Hall houses a museum that reconstructs the Patriarchal and Venetian history of the city and presents archaeological finds unearthed during the pavement restoration carried out by the municipality in 2014. In particular, the foundations of the medieval city walls and the northern tower gate, which date back to the 13th century, were brought to light. A large amount of ceramic and glass material, dating from the 14th and early 15th centuries, was found. Duly restored material is now part of the city's archaeological heritage.
